(I Can't Carry) The Weight of the World

There was a time when I believed I could do anything,
But since then, time's gone by, and in came reality.
My body's weak; it just cannot take the strain.
The pressure is much too high; I can't stand the pain.

Chorus:
I can't carry the Weight of the World on my shoulders.
I can't carry the Weight of the World on my shoulders.

There are some things I just can't carry, no matter what I do.
And if you won't realize this, then I’ll have to unload you.
The weight of ALL your problems [is] just too heavy for me.
I must carry troubles of my own or can't you see.

[Chorus]

[Interlude]

Chorus Reprise:
I can't carry the Weight of the World on my shoulders.
             (No, No, No!)
I can't carry the Weight of the World on my shoulders.
             (I cannot do it!)

I can't carry the Weight of the World on my shoulders.
             (It's much too heavy!)
I can't carry the Weight of the World on my shoulders.
(Please, someone take it from me!)

I can’t carry the Weight of the World on my shoulders.
